LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the contempt of court petitions against Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal which was filed against them by citizen.
Justice Shahid Kareem heard the petition and remarked that respect does not reduce with the speeches in public rallies or gatherings. Is it appropriate when the Supreme Court didn’t take action and High court take action against it, the court questioned.
The petitioner had submitted that Maryam Nawaz, daughter of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was targeting judiciary in her speeches and also accused Ahsan Iqbal for the same blames regarding disrespecting the judiciary in speeches.
