Lions on the roads won’t stop people to suspend evening walks

Wadood Jan

How daring and brave people Pakistani are, one of my friends asked me. Though I was surprised at his this question as at that time was out of the context we were discussing but it was quite interesting that it made me to answer him.

I answered, “If bloody lions walk on the roads and in the streets, still majority of Pakistani people won’t stay their homes and would come out to roads and in the streets to have a strolls or  pleasure walks loaded with gossips,” adding that “ then how can these people get scare of Corona virus and follow the lockdown or observe situation erected by the recent menace.”

Though the answer was funny but in fact a sad one as why people don’t understand that things are getting worst as the corona infection cases are increasing day by day.

I and people like me really do understand that the people are not following the lockdown, they walk aimlessly, roam, develop mobs, make unnecessary gatherings, busy in friendly grapples, hugging and observing no social distancing factor, have been the reasons of spreading infection too fast.

Only a few percent people in the markets could be seen wearing masks while others don’t know wearing masks.

People wearing no masks are not only risking their own lives but also jeopardizing the lives of others.

Army and police personnel rush and force people to close shops and markets in the evening hours but where is the social responsibility! Why don’t people sense that they should close shops and markets on their own to follow the orders of the government. But no, army and police personnel will always come and ask them to please shut the shops and markets as it will harm them as corona is after them.

Also with this attitude of the people army and police have been overloaded and of course wasting the resources of government.

Wish people do understand that hundreds are new cases of corona infection are appearing and follow the lockdown and stay their homes. People in only unavoidable situations should go out but wearing masks and gloves.

Its not the time to have pleasure walks in the markets in the evening hours but stay home to stay safe.
