LIPTON’s pioneering initiative: An agreement signed with Patients’ Aid Foundation

F.P. Report

Karachi: LIPTON Teas & Infusions Pakistan takes a monumental step toward enhancing women’s healthcare in Pakistan by formalizing a partnership with the Patients’ Aid Foundation-JPMC. This collaboration is propelled by a commitment to empower women’s health during the holy month of Ramzan and beyond.

In a significant move, LIPTON signed Agreement with Patients’ Aid pledging a donation of PKR 10 million. This contribution will be directed towards the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Women’s Wing, specifically providing free quality childbirth facilities for women in need.

Through this project, 10,000 women from Karachi, interior Sindh and rural Balochistan will receive free quality healthcare, focused on pre and post-natal care.
The project will also focus on enhancing service quality for marginalized women across various crucial aspects of maternity and delivery.

This initiative underscores LIPTON’s commitment to creating value towards the community we operate in. Farheen Salman, President of LIPTON BSPAN & GM Pakistan, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, “We believe that every woman deserves access to quality healthcare, and our partnership with Patients’ Aid is a testament to that commitment. By contributing to the JPMC Women’s Wing, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of women, ensuring they receive the care they deserve during one of the most crucial moments in their lives.”

Commenting on this partnership, Mushtaq Chappra, Chairman of Patients’ Aid Foundation said, “Patients’ Aid is dedicated to enabling free quality healthcare to twelve thousand patients that walk through the gates of JPMC every day, and our collaboration with LIPTON strengthens our resolve. This partnership will significantly enhance our efforts in delivering quality childbirth facilities to marginalized women coming to Jinnah Hospital (JPMC). Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it the most.”
