ISLAMABAD: Chief of Awami Muslim (AML), Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has filed a reference in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for his alleged involvement in LNG corruption case.
PM Abbasi, who was Federal Petroleum Minister in the Nawaz Sharif’s cabinet and he has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the NAB after a detail inquiry in corruption of Rs 220 billion LNG projects.
After the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif in Panama case last month, Abbasi was elected as PM and Sheikh Rasheed was one of the three petitioners in Panama case and also submitted a petition in SC against NAB for failing in reopening the Hidaiboya Paper Mills case.
