Lost top spot due to lack of support, says Waseem

F.P. Report

KARACHI:: National boxing champion Muhammad Waseem has again complained of lack of governmental support in international arena.

Muhammad Waseem, hailing from Quetta, has brought laurels for Pakistan by staying the unbeaten World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Flyweight Champion for a long time.

But recently, he has been in the news for all the wrong reasons as he complains of not receiving any support or sponsors from the government. He also hinted at quitting the country and applying for South Korean or American nationality.

He has said that due to lack of support, he has moved down from the top of the ranking to the fourth place. He has requested the government to support him financially so that he can continue winning accolades for Pakistan.
