Major US auto workers union endorses Harris for president

FLORIDA (AFP): The United Auto Workers union on Wednesday endorsed Kamala Harris for president in a boost for the Democratic candidate as she mounts her come-from-behind campaign against Donald Trump.

The UAW, which had previously backed President Joe Biden before he dropped his reelection bid, said Harris had a “proven track record of standing with the UAW and delivering major gains for the working class.”
