Malala urges PM Abbasi to prioritize education

NEW YORK: Youngest Nobel Prize Laureate, Malala Yousafzai urged the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to promote education especially girl education in the country.

This she said while meeting with the PM Abbasi in New York. She also assured her support for the promotion of girl’s education in the country and especially in Swat area of Pakistan. She urged the incumbent government to prioritize education as one of the most important concerns of the country.

PM Abbasi appreciated Malala efforts and determination for the promotion of education and also raising voice for the girls education in the country and also in world.

He added that the present government allocated more funds for education and in the last four years positive change has been witnessed in the education sector of Pakistan.

Pakistan is still facing problems in terms of gender inequality and lacking infrastructure but he are working on it and central government is in contact with different NGO and the provincials to achieve the target in this regard, he adde.

Malala also met other world leaders such as the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to discuss the need for female teachers in Afghanistan.

She also spoke with Prime Minister Netherlands about his country’s commitment to education in conflict.

Malala also met with the French President Emmanuel Macron who was accompanied by his wife.  The three shared views on how French leadership can help the promotion female education globally.
