Monitoring Desk

NEW YORK: Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi condemned India for using pellet guns against the peaceful protestors in occupied Kashmir and demanded from the world community to take notice of Indian atrocities in Kashmir.

She said this while addressing the General Assembly’s Special Political and Decolonization (Fourth) Committee. Lodhi said that India is committing ‘war crimes by using pellet guns and left the young generation sightless and maimed for life.

Lodhi added that UN agenda of decolonisation will not be fulfilled without the freedom of Kashmir as per the wishes of the people as it is one of the longest disputes of all time and it represent the failure of UN.

Indian occupied forces continue its atrocities on the innocent people of Kashmir and it is very unfortunate that the World community and UN keeping their eyes close towards it and left the people of Kashmir on the mercy of Indian brutality.
