Man arrested for planning mass shooting at Islamic center in Florida

FLORIDA: The Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) claimed on Monday to have arrested a suspected man identified as Bernandino Bolatete, 69, who was allegedly planning to carry out mass shooting at a mosque in Florida.

As per local media outlet, Bernandino Bolatete, who is originally from Philippines and holds a green card was arrested for having illegal and unregistered gun’s silencer which is a federal crime in Jacksonville.

Mike Williams, Sheriff of Jacksonville said that after receiving information about the arrested man thoughts towards Muslims and adding that Bolatete had a strong anti-Islam sentiment and he was planning to carry out a mass shooting at the Islamic center of Florida.

The FBI told media that an undercover agent establishes a relationship with the terrorists to confirm the motive and plan of the arrested man.

The FBI agent confirmed that the man had a plan of mass shooting and to be killed by police after shooting.  FBI spokesperson said that he is being detained by the authorities for interrogation and did not tell where he is kept.
