MARDAN: A man gunned down his step-mother over unknown reasons here on Monday within the remits of Saddar Police Station.
Officials of Saddar Police Station quoted Noor Muhammad as saying that his daughter (f) had went to home of her step-son indentified as Atif Khan where they exchanged hot words with each other which led to killing of his daughter.
The accused Atif Khan fled the scene soon after committing the murdered crime. The officials of Saddar police station, however, had registered FIR against the said accused on complaint of father of the victim and began further investigation into the case.
