HAFIZABAD: A villager and his wife were killed on-the-spot while his sister-in-law sustained serious injuries when a truck collided head on-on on Pindi Bhattian road near Tahli Goraya village, about 20 km from here today.
According to rescue source, Farooq Ahmed of Muzaffar Nau alongwith his wife Saadia Bibi and sister-in-law Saba bibi was on way to Pindi Bhattian and when reached near Tahli Goraya, a speeding truck No. E-2260 coming from opposite direction dashed with his wife as a result of which, the couple died on the-spot- while Saba bibi was seriously injured.
The dead bodies and the injured were shifted to the hospital while the truck driver sped away after the accident.
The Jalalpur Bhattian Police have registered a case and are investigating.
