Maryam Nawaz declares Imran Khan main hurdle in country’s progress

F.P. Report

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice-President and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz has called on PTI Chairman Imran Khan to have some mercy on Pakistan by abandoning conspiracies, declaring “only one man is the main hurdle in country’s progress”.

Addressing PML-N Labour Wing convention in Lahore on Monday, Maryam Nawaz expressed surprise at the active participation of party workers and urged them to strengthen the Labour Wing further. She appreciated the efforts of workers and praised the Labour Wing for its active role in the party’s affairs.

Maryam also highlighted the worsening economic situation in the country, adding the minimum wage of workers had been raised to Rs35,000 by the current government. She stated that in her opinion the minimum wage of workers should be increased to Rs40,000.

The PML-N leader emphasized the importance of labour in the progress of the country.

Taking the opportunity to bash PTI, Maryam also called out Imran Khan, whom she referred to as “fitna” for taking out a Labour Day rally in Lahore.

She urged the PTI leader to stop making conspiracies against the country and work towards the progress of Pakistan. She said if the country is run on the vision of Nawaz Sharif, no one would need to go abroad for work.

She said that only one person is obstructing the progress of Pakistan, and that is Imran Khan.

She told the gathering that there was also the time when one dollar was worth 98 or 100 rupees. “Nawaz Sharif did not allow the price of flour to rise above Rs35 per kg for the labourers,” she stated and asked Imran Khan to stop conspiracies and have mercy on the country for God’s sake.

“A Rs2 bread costs Rs25 today. Who is responsible for this? Not only Imran Khan, but his whole gang is responsible,” she castigated.

“This should be discussed why the country is not moving forward? Imran Khan’s gang includes all the corrupt people. Saqib Nisar and Faiz Hameed are in the gang of Imran,” she added.

“The three-member bench came to save Imran when his politics and every tactic failed. This three-member bench brought the case into the Supreme Court which was under-hearing in the High Court,” she deplored.

“The way a mockery had been made of justice, [even] the judges of the Supreme Court have spoken up,” Maryam pointed out.

“The conspiracy was that Imran Khan breaks the assembly, and the three-member bench will be there to facilitate him,” she added.

“Imran is in a hurry to hold elections as early as possible. Otherwise, there will be no one to lead him to victory,” she lambasted.

“The country was forced into problems. The most senior judges of the Supreme Court and bar councils raised their voice against the conspiracy. Saqib Nisar’s son was caught taking a bribe of Rs12 million. Thief’s son is a thief,” she added.

“I ask the three-member bench, for whom are they doing all this?” she questioned.

“Leaders stand as shields in front of their workers. They don’t appear wearing black boxes on their heads,” she took a veiled dig at Imran Khan.

“Earlier, they used to say that the resignations should be accepted. Now, they are saying that the resignations should be taken back. The owner of this country is not your drugged mind,” she castigated Imran Khan and his party leaders.

“The statement of Judge Arshad Malik also stands testimony to injustice. I ask ‘Fitnah Khan’ to stop conspiring against the country,” she pummeled Imran Khan.

“When Nawaz Sharif comes, the country makes progress. This is their problem. One, who had ousted Nawaz Sharif for not taking salary from his son, his own son was caught today taking bribe,” she loathed.

“Those who used to yell thief, thief, their own children have turned out be thieves. Now it is known who the Sicilian mafia and godfather is. Nawaz Sharif is sitting comfortably watching the retributions,” she said.

“You will have to accept the decision of the Parliament. The nation is watching what they decide. If there were a respectable person, he would have resigned and gone home,” she added.

“Nawaz Sharif will come back soon and start the journey of development of the country again,” she announced.
