Maryam Nawaz reacts to rumors about rift within PML-N

LAHORE (NNI): Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz on Saturday has clarified that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was and will always be united.

Talking to media during her visit to NA-120, Maryam said that those who are conspiring against PML-N will be soon defeated, adding that 72 people leaving the party can only be a wish of someone, not reality.

The time has changed now as people have stopped getting afraid, she added. It’s merely a wish of the opponents who are conspiring against the party, she said.

“The opponents will be soon defeated,” she told the journalists while ruling out a possibility of party leaders parting their ways with Sharif-led PML-N in near future.

Responding to a question related to cases against her and her family, Maryam Nawaz said she is hopeful for a better verdict.

She also reiterated that PML-N will once again rule the country in upcoming general elections as the nation still loves them and wants them to serve the country.

Appearing optimistic for upcoming general elections in 2018, Maryam said PML-N will once again rule the country as result of the elections.

It merits highlighting here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan recently said that an early election in the country was possible as a large number of PML-N legislators were willing to resign from the party.
