F.P. Report

LAHORE: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz has said that arrest of Ameer Muqam’s son by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is blatant political victimization, on Tuesday.

The daughter of Nawaz Sharif, took to Twitter and criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for targeting the political rivals in fake cases. She asked the government to start investigation of corruption worth billions in Peshawar Metro Bus project instead of political victimization.

Maryam added that your day of judgment is also near.

Maryam Nawaz said that nothing has been proven against PML-N leadership but, there are bulks of evidence against you, she continued.

Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had completed investigation into alleged irregularities in construction of Shangla-Alpuri road and arrested Ishtiaq, son of PML-N leader Amir Muqam.

The agency suggested departmental action against 11 officials of the National Highway Authority and also recommended to black list Amir Muqam and co.

The company was supposed to complete the Shangla-Alpuri 35 km road project within one year with a cost of Rs 850 million. However, the cost reached Rs 2800 million due to delay in the constriction.
