Maryam thanks Bilawal for kind gesture

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Monday thanked Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari meeting former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat jail.

In her latest tweet, the PML-N leader said, “Thank you very much Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for your thoughtfulness & kind gesture. Means a lot to me. Prayers and every good wish. God bless.”

Earlier, the PPP chairman met the PML-N supremo at Kot Lakhpat jail and inquired about Sharif’s health along with other senior party leaders.

Bilawal urged the federal government to ensure that preferable medical facilities are provided to former three-time premier Nawaz Sharif, who is serving seven-year imprisonment at the Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore after being convicted in Al-Azizia Reference case.

After having a meeting with Sharif, Bilawal spoke to the media and rejected such speculations by stating that there was no political motive behind the meeting.

“Despite of being sick, Nawaz Sharif did not seem to make any compromise,” he went on to say. “Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari had also served jail time in this jail,” he added.
