Mashaal visits Torkham to assess passengers’ issues

KABUL: Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Latfullah Mashal had paid a visit to Torkham port where he talked with Afghan passengers’ about their problems they face in the border.

A statement from the Afghan embassy in Islamabad received by Pajhwok Afghan News, said that Latfullah Mashal also met with security officials of both countries at the port on Wednesday.

It added, Mashal assessed the passengers and entrepreneurs’ problems and urged authorities concerned to provide facilities for commuters in entry and exit areas.

Afghan ambassador also visited the Afghan commissary officials at Torkham port and urged the officials to provide all needed facilities to Afghan passengers.

Mashal during his visit to the port met talked with a number of Afghan passengers and assured them to solve their problems at earliest possible time. The statement added Pakistani officials also assured the Afghan ambassador to facilitate the Afghan passengers with required services at Torkham gate and promised to create a separate branch for processing women’s passports.
