Masses should reject people wants to divide nation: Amir Muqam

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister for Political, Public Affairs and National Heritage & Culture Engr Amir Muqam on Tuesday said that present government is making efforts to bring stability at all levels while one person busy in creating chaos. During visit to National Library of Pakistan, Engr Amir Muqam said that the nation should reject the people wants to divide nation.

He said that the present government in the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif working for the economic stability to provide maximum relief to the masses. Adviser to PM directed the officials of National Library of Pakistan to facilitate maximum students and researchers.

He said that number of projects were completed to modernize National Library of Pakistan during Pakistan Muslim League N Government. Engr Amir Muqam said that more schemes at National Library of Pakistan would be initiated to make it more useful.

Adviser to PM Engr Amir Muqam said library was an essential segment of our culture and civilization. He said that the division would take measures to equip this library with modern facilities, as per international standards.

The Secretary National Heritage and Culture Division Fareena Mazhar and other officials of the division and library were also present in the meeting.

In his presentation, the Director National Library of Pakistan gave a detailed overview of the history, functioning, performance, future plans and the issues being faced by the library employees and students.

The meeting was informed that the library had total collection of 300,000 books and also published 47 volumes of Pakistan National Bibliography from 1962 to 2015.
The library had also registered 2800 publishers under International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) system since 1985 and facilitated 227710 readers since 2002.
