Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son passes away

KHANEWAL: Known Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son Asim Jamil passed away in Talamba on Sunday.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Tariq Jamil said the “accidental death” had turned the atmosphere mournful.

“We request you all to remember us in your prayers on this sad occasion. May Allah grant my son a high place in heaven,” he added.

However, DPO Khanewal Rana Umar Farooq said that Asim Jamil was shot dead, saying he got a bullet in his chest.

Police said that they were probing into the incident.

The incident took place in Tulamba Tehsil of Khanewal district of Punjab.

According to initial reports, Asim Jamil’s body was shifted to Tulamba Hospital.
