Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi hosts farewell meeting with Uzbek Ambassador

KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, held a farewell meeting with Mr. Shadmanov Yadgarkhoja, the departing Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Shadmanov, concluding his twelve-year tenure, expressed satisfaction with the strong bilateral relations and highlighted efforts to enhance cooperation between the two nations. He emphasized Uzbekistan’s interest in expanding economic and trade ties, noting that Uzbek investors are particularly keen on Afghanistan’s mining and energy sectors.

For his part, Mawlawi Hanafi commended Shadmanov’s contributions to strengthening relations and reaffirmed Afghanistan’s commitment to further cooperation, particularly in fostering investment. He assured that the Islamic Emirate will continue to support and facilitate investment opportunities for foreign traders in Afghanistan.
