MCL-3: PPC United qualify for quarter after beating Falcons by nine wickets

PESHAWAR: PPC United continued their winning streak and became a first team to qualify for the quarter finals after beating comprehensively PPC Falcons by nine wickets in the ongoing 3rd RMI Media Cricket League, on Tuesday.

After winning the toss PPC United to opted to bowl first and restricted the Falcons to 102 runs with the loss of five wickets in 10 overs. Waqar Ahmed of PPC Falcons scored 43 runs on 18 balls but on the other end the wickets were kept falling and no one has an answer to the PPC United bowlers.

In reply, United took a flying start after a fall of first wickets, both the players Shah Faisal and Kamran Khan confidently hit the shots and put the pressure on the bowling sides.

The PPC United achieved the target in just 7.1 overs after Kamran Khan hit blistering 52 runs on 20 balls and Shah Faisal scored 40 runs on 21 balls and remained not out. Kamran Khan was declared man of match for his outstanding inning.

Shah Faisal and Kamran Khan showed no mercy for the Falcons and continued their best form in the tournament. The PPC united is the one of the favorite team of the MCL-3 and in today’s match they showed that why they are the favorite.

In the next match, PPC Bahadars outclass PPC kings after beating them by 79 runs. While batting first PPC Bahadars scored 187 runs in the 10 overs, Yasir Ali and Umar Farooq start the innings for the Bahadars and hit shots all around the ground.

In reply, PPC Kings only managed to score 108 runs in the 10 overs. Skipper of PPC Bahadar, Yasir Ali was announced man of the match for his blistering 104 runs on 30 balls.
