MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh created a stir on the internet with their cute PDA at the Gully Boy screening last night. Ranveer’s Gully Boy is already receiving great reviews and now Deepika starts work on her next.
The actress took a break post Padmaavat to enjoy her wedding festivities and life after marriage. However, DP will now be seen on the silver screen once again in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak.
Sharing the first picture from the sets of the film today, the director wrote, ‘Prep #Chhapaak’. Even though we can’t see Deepika, the picture looks intense and intriguing with a yellow fabric having acid stains on it. Soon after the photo was shared by Meghna, fans have been pouring in good wishes for the entire team.
Deepika who had announced the film in December on social media wrote, “A story of trauma and triumph. And the unquashable human spirit”
Confirming starting work on the film, Deepika told a news portal, “I can’t reveal much. I can just say that we have already started preparation. In fact, we will start filming from next month.”
Also starring Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role, Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack victim Laxmi Aggarwal.
