Members show displeasure over absence of officers

BUNER: The tehsil council Daggar monthly session was held on Tuesday in chair of convener Khalid Khan and attended the nazim Saeedur Rehman Mufakir and members once again threatened of protest demonstration even suspension of the council sessions for indefinite period against the absent officers of departments what they assumed the bureaucrats were intentionally push the local bodies system to collapsed.

Those discussed the issue including Mohammad Shereen, Ashfaq Ahmed, Hafiz Sadique, Hafiz Rasheed, Hafiz Qamar Ali Shah, Goordeep Kumar, Nizamul Mulk, Shukat Khan, Maulana Afzal and Dr. Abdullah.

They expressed deep concern over absence of the representatives of departments from the council session adding the officers of the different departments lest interested in the affairs of the council and the members complaints, suggestions and recommendations were not giving weight. They made it clear this time they will hold protest demonstration at DC office and sessions will be suspended till positive response. The second major issue was the public complaints and protests against the TMA Daggar garbage dump at Kalabatt village in tehsil Gadezai and the council resolved to shift this dump to another suitable place. However, the TMO Mohammad Zada and TOR Ameen Khan informed them of the financial losses to the TMA and let down position of the members as this council was approved the site for dumping garbage there and the TMA was done an agreement with the land owner against rupees two lakh per year.

They repeated in case of fresh resolution about shifting the dump to another place this issue will be brought into the notice of high ups at provincial level for final approval.

The members expressed concern over delay in developmental schemes due to no funds from PFC award in last six month period due to which the budget passed for the years 2017-18 ADP will expired in wild.

They accused the contractors of using delay tactics in the already approved schemes of last years and suggested issuing notices to them and not including them in tenders in near future. They registered their complaints of not inviting to the cultural festival at Shaheeda Sar, launching function of cleanliness in Pacha Bazaar and open forum at the lawn of tehsil Gadezai.

They complained the Bazargay girls higher secondary school was ready to be functional but the department concerned was taken mums and also complained that the heavy amount spent over land purchase for Bacha Khan model school at Bazargay was yet to be witnessed the building.

The Abakhel union council member Hafiz Sadique accused the district administration of awarding just two lakh rupees to the heirs of late Hanifullah of Nanseer who was expired in marble factory incident while the government policy was to pay rupees three lakh to the heirs. He set a deadline of three days for paying the remaining amount rupees one lakh to the heirs otherwise threatened of launching protest on road.

He also expressed concern over paying the final bill to the contractor of the Baba Seery to Bampokha road while shoulders and retaining walls were yet to complete and asked the concerned quarters to make sure completion of the work or to be ready for facing the music from inhabitants of the area. Prior to that the council session approved and rectified the precious session minutes and also approved to auction the old and damaged furniture and machinery present at the TMA to spare the space and earn some amount for public services.
