Miftah Ismail formally tenders his resignation

ISLAMABAD: Miftah Ismail has formally submitted his resignation as federal finance minister to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Miftah Ismail also thanked the prime minister for giving him an opportunity to help lift the ailing economy.

It is important to notice that Ishaq Dar will succeed Ismail as Pakistan’s new finance minister and will assume the charge of the ministry on Wednesday.
