Monitoring Desk

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said Pakistan is not looking and dependent on US for fulfilling military requirements and now Pakistan opened the other options if one source is dries up.

While giving interview to foreign news outlet on Sunday, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that we keep our options open and we are not depending on US for military requirements as we are having Chinese, European weapons and recently we indicted some Russian helicopters.

The world needs to recognize the Pakistan efforts and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and any sanctions or restraints will only degrade our fight against the terrorism.

Abbasi showed displeasure over the new US policy for South Asia and rejected any role of India in Afghanistan and adding that whatever they have concerns we are willing to address those concerns.

Regarding the US allegations of providing safe heavens to terrorists, Abbasi categorically said that Pakistan is against any type of terrorism and the allegations leveled by US is totally baseless.
