KABUL (Khaama Press): Dozens of military vehicles that were being used by irresponsible persons in Afghanistan’s western provinces have been gathered by the military vehicle collection commission of the 207th Al-Farooq Army Corps.
According to a statement from the press office of the army corps, it was said that the concerned department had collected military vehicles from the provinces of Herat, Farah, and Badghis.
These collected military vehicles include Ranger, Humvee, strike vehicles and motorbikes.
The Taliban’s Defense Ministry announced that around 300 military vehicles left by the United States in Afghanistan had been repaired.
The ministry also said that the technical team and engineers had repaired hundreds of vehicles, including 150 international Kumazes, 125 Humvees, two assault tanks, four trucks, 10 Porcliff and 15 Humvees ambulances.
Based on the report released by the US House of Representatives, more than seven billion dollars worth of military equipment was left behind after the US troops withdrew from Afghanistan.
After the collapse of the previous regime and the takeover of the country by the Taliban, all the military equipment was captured by the group, according to a Pentagon report.
Now that the Taliban are in power, the US is worried that the military hardware could be accessed by China or Russia or used by terrorist organizations.
