KABUL (Agencies): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Idrees Zaman met with the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Kabul, Bahador Aminian, a MoFA said in a statement
Minister Zaman expressed his condolences for the death of General Qassem Soleimani as well as Afghan, Iranian and citizens of other nations who lost their lives in the recent incident of the Ukrainian flight (PS752) in Tehran, which was en-route to Kiev, the statement added.
Iranian Ambassador expressed his condolences accordingly, and assured Minister Zaman of his government’s readiness for a comprehensive investigation process of the aforementioned incident, according to the statement.
Acknowledging the willingness of the Iranian government to cooperation, Minister Zaman discussed the formation of the International Coordination and Response Group for the families of the victims of the PS752.
He called this initiative an appropriate measure undertaken by the concerned countries and assured the involvement of Afghanistan as a member to this group, the statement concluded as saying.
