KABUL (TOLOnews): The Ministry of Information and Culture said that newspapers industry and archives should be supported.
In the meeting “Newspapers and National Languages – Background, Development, Challenges and Solutions”, the deputy minister said that the content and writing of newspapers should be simple, professional, and new.
“We should not belittle the newspapers, we should equalize the needs, writers, poets, technical staff, and paper, according to the standards of the day,” said Atiqullah Azizi, the deputy ministry.
The deputy minister of Education said in the meeting that there are limits to freedom of speech in all countries and freedom of speech should not cause discord between people.
“In every society that we see, there is a limit to freedom of speech. The term free expression is limited,” said Sebghat Ullah Wasel.
Meanwhile, the head of governmental newspapers said that the government should support the media in the country.
“At this time, there is a need to pay serious attention to the press, both the officials and the government should increase the attention, and the media workers should be aware of the (government’s) work,” said Mohammad Ibrahim Nabil, head of the governmental newspaper.
“The media is not only for reflecting events, but also is a bridge between the nation and the government, which transmits the wishes, politics, and culture effectively.
