Missing professor of Karachi University reaches home

KARACHI: Professor Dr Muhammad Ismail, of University of Peshawar reached home safely on Wednesday, earlier he was reported missing.

As per the family, Dr Ismail went missing on September 15 and he teaches at department of Islamic Studied at University of Karachi.

The wife of Dr Ismail told that he reached home safely around 2am and is in good health.

The family earlier reported that around two weeks ago some unknown people forcefully took the professor with them from his house late at night.

However, officials of the university administration had silent over professor matter for 15 days.

The university administration, including VC Dr Ajmal Khan, refused to comment on the incident when inquired.

It is pertinent to mention that on Sept 21, members of an intelligence agency carried out a raid and nabbed three alleged terrorists from the University of Karachi’s staff colony.
