Mix reaction over removal of Atif as minister

F.P. Report

Mardan: Situations of both jubilant and sorrow were observed across Mardan district over de-notification of Muhammad Atif khan-senior provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for sports, culture and tourism.

Informed sourced told, after the kick-out of Mr. Atif Khan from provincial cabinet, the PTI provincial lawmaker Abdus Salam Afridi and Iftikhar Ali Mashwani have become very active to get ministerial portfolio.

They told that both the MPAs were approaching influential political figures within the party so that to get support in this connection.

Political experts were of the view that Muhammad Atif Khan along with Shehram Khan Tarakai and Shakeel Ahmad had lost their ministerial portfolio owing to differences with KP chief minister Mehmood Khan which were recently emerged in media.

It is pertinent to mention here that there were strong differences within Mardan based political leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in which one of the strong group was leading by sacked provincial minister Muhammad Atif Khan.

However, the move to remove Mr. Atif Khan from provincial cabinet had spread a way of jubilance among his political rivals while on the other hand his followers were deeply shocked with his de-notification in the district.
