MMA to contest next election with one symbol: JUI-F

TIMERGARA: The Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazl provincial chief and former senator Moulana Gul Naseeb Khan on Saturday said the MMA, an alliance of religious parties had been restored and the 2018 general elections would be contested on a single symbol and manifesto. Talking to local journalists at the Chakdara press club he said the United States of America wanted to strengthen ‘Daesh’ against Muslims in order to defame the religion Islam.

The JUI-F leader said the USA had been promoting its agenda of its arms’ sale, secularization of society and abolishing Islamic civilization. The former senator said that MMA was a registered platform of six religious political parties which had been restored with its manifesto and symbol.

Condemning the PTI policies he said it wanted to sabotage the much important CPEC project and to create political de-stability in the country.

He also criticized the KP government decision of salary for mosques’ imams in the province. He said the decision would create further mess among prayers’ leaders. He said the government rather should allocate budget for prayers’ leaders and consider them as government employees.
