MMA rejects result of election 2018, will develop consensus to declare election null and void: Fazl
ISLAMABAD: President Muttahid Majlis e Amal (MMA) and chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Isam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that MMA rejects the results of election 2018 and will develop consensus to declare election null and void.
Talking to media persons on Thursday, Fazlur Rehman said that though general election was held in the country but public mandate was stolen.
He said that it seems that presiding officers, Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning officers (AROs) had no authority; results were stopped on Wednesday evening which were being announced in intervals till now.
He said that the All Parties Conference (APC) being hosted by Asif Ali Zardari will try to develop consensus among the political parties for future line of action.
The JUI-F chief said that it was not possible to impose one’s mandate on some one.
Reacting to the speech of PTI chief Imran Khan, he said that he had heard such addresses several times and was not impressed of it.
Fazlur Rehman said that during the APC consensus would be developed among the political parties to declare 2018 general election null and void.
He said that PTI chief’s agreement to conduct inquiry in some constituencies was not enough as we are not talking about any constituency but want to declare entire election null and void.
