KABUL (Agencies): Ministry of Defense (MoD) says the ministry’s plan for creation of national women military council and world women military council has been approved by presidential office and international organizations.
In a statement released by the MoD, it was said that ministry of defense suggested plan for establishment of national women military council and world women military council on the first ‘National Women Military, Peace and Security Conference’ held on 5th of December 2019 with participation of President Ghani, First Lady, foreign ambassadors and representatives of international organizations to Kabul, which was approved by presidential office and international organizations.
According to the statement, procedures and statute of the council was discussed in a meeting attended by 20 female militaries from MoD, MoI and NDS, representatives of the office of the country’s First Lady, National Security Council, ministry of women affairs, MoFA, RS and foreign embassies to Kabul.
It is determined that the plan will be shared with NATO on 8 March 2020 and up to end of the current year Afghan military women will share their experiences of war on terror with female militaries of all countries of the world.
