Mohsin directs for indiscriminate action against smuggling

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the authorities concerned to continue indiscriminate action to prevent smuggling in the country.

In a statement, he said a zero tolerance policy against smuggling should be implemented as smuggling is destroying the country’s industry and economy.

The Interior Minister also lauded the performance of Pakistan Coast Guards against smuggling.

Earlier, Pakistan Coast Guards foiled bids of smugglings at Othal Check Post and Dashti Nullah in Gwadar.

During the actions, the Coast Guards seized prohibited items including Gutka, Betel Nut and Iranian Diesel. Thirteen illegal immigrants were also arrested.
