Moscow-Delhi discuss situation in Afghanistan

MOSCOW (TASS): The Secretary of the Security Council (SB) of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev discussed the events in Afghanistan and other issues with the Deputy Adviser to the Indian Prime Minister for National Security Pankaj Saran in Moscow. This was announced on Wednesday by the press service of the RF Security Council apparatus.
“Nikolai Patrushev and Pankaj Saran discussed issues of further cooperation between Russia and India in the security sphere, exchanged views on a number of problems on the regional agenda, including the situation in Afgh-anistan,” the message says.
In addition, they discussed the topic of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
The press service of the Security Council staff clarified that Saran arrived in Moscow to conduct full-format interagency Russian-Indian consultations on bilateral cooperation in the field of security. They are scheduled for August 19th.
