Most parts of country will remain in grip of heat

ISLAMABAD: Weather in most parts of the country would remain hot and dry on Friday.

According to Metrological office report, many areas in Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain in the grip of heat. However, Islamabad is likely to be hit by gusty winds and rain in the evening.

In Lahore, the maximum temperature in the day will reach to 42 degrees Celsius and in Peshawar the mercury level will touch 40 degree Celsius today.

In Potohar, there is chance of thunderstorm and light rain.

Most areas in the KP will sizzle in heat today. However, Dir, Chitral, Mansehra, Malakand, Kurram and Swat are likely to be hit by gusty winds and rain accompanied by thunderclap, according to weather report.

The Met office predicted that upper districts of Sindh will remain extremely hot and dry. Whereas, the same weather conditions will persist in most parts of Balochistan.

The weather will remain partially cloudy in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir which are likely to be hit by strong winds and light rain.
