MQM-L US based female leader orders killing MQM-P chairman

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Wednesday arrested three target killers associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, who confessed to have killed Rashid Alias Mamo, Chairman Union Council of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan in July earlier this year.

The orders to kill Mamo were given by MQM-L US based leader, Kehkeshan, Rangers claim.

“Pakistan Rangers Sindh on the basis of intelligence information conducted raid on Shah Faisal Colony of the city and arrested three target killers involved in the murder of Chairman Union Council No-13 Rashid Alias Mamo. All three are associated with MQM-L,” spokesman Rangers said.

According to spokesman Rashid alias Mamo was killed on July 30, 2017 when he was playing Carom board near his home. “After the incident Rangers formed teams and successfully arrested Asif Raees so/o Raeesuddin, Shahid Aziz s/o Abdul Aziz and Muhammad Danish Khan s/o Mehboob Khan.”

During initial investigations, Rangers informs, the accused revealed that the orders to kill Rashid alias Mamo were issued by US based member of the MQM-L Rabita Committee, Kehkeshan on WhatsApp in July 2017.

Two killers riding motorbike took part in this killing task whereas other accomplices remained there for backup. “After the successful killing mission the MQM-L Rabita Committee member Kehkeshan sent Rs3 lacks to the killers as reward money in two installments.

“The accused Asif Raees received Rs 150,000 through Hawala whereas Rs150387 were sent to him through CNIC of Huma Chand who is wife of his friend, Chand. Asif Raees, his friend Chand and Huma Chand received money from Western Union Office in North Karachi,” reads the Rangers’ statement. The Rangers have also issued photo of CNIC of Huma Chand and receipts of the money, she received.

According to an earlier report an activist of MQM-L had confessed to brutally killing political opponents. Saleem Chaudhry disclosed that he used to kill people with machetes after kidnapping them.

He said that after kidnapping an activist, Azad Hasan, from Orangi Town, he killed him with machetes at one of the party’s torture cells and later buried parts of his bodies on a hilltop, adding that a person named Iqbal used to assist him in his killings.
