F.P. Report

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement–Pakistan (MQM-P) is all set to show its political strength in Karachi on Saturday (today).

MQM-P will hold a public meeting at Bagh-e-Jinnah Ground which has been festooned with party flags and banners.

All the arrangements for the meeting had been finalized with a stage set up at the venue. Camps have also been set up in different areas to welcome party workers who will be attending the gathering.

Party workers from all over the province will attend the public meeting which will start at 5pm, according to MQM-P leaders.

While talking to media on Friday, MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had said Sindh was being ruled by the people with a ‘fake mandate.

He alleged that population census was tampered with to benefit a particular political party in the elections in Sindh.

Siddiqui, who is also the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, said the population of urban Sindh was not counted and reiterated the population of Karachi was no less than thirty million.
