KABUL (BNA): The Economic Commission, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, held its regular session at the Marmarin Palace. The meeting addressed various significant matters on the agenda related to Afghanistan’s economic progress.
The session included a detailed discussion on the Islamic Emirate delegation’s recent working report to the UAE concerning the DP World Company contract. Additionally, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat presented updates regarding the CASA-1000 project, highlighting developments and challenges.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Public Works’ Directorate of Railways submitted its report on the Afghan-Trans project, while Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat provided a comprehensive review of the Managi Hydropower Dam. Furthermore, a proposal to digitize driving permits and licenses was also introduced for consideration.
Following in-depth deliberations, the commission approved the Afghan-Trans project report presented by the Directorate of Railways and directed relevant ministries and agencies to implement necessary measures.
