LAHORE: Multan Sultans have suffered a major setback as two key bowlers were ruled out of the upcoming ninth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9).
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has informed the franchise that pacer Ihsanullah will not be available for this year’s tournament as he is recovering from the injury.
English bowler Reece Topley is also not available for the PSL 9 due to injury. The management of the Multan Sultans have also confirmed the development.
Ali Tareen, the owner of the franchise, has termed the unavailability of the bowlers a major setback.
PLS 9 is all set to begin from February 17 with opening match to be played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United. However, the Sultans will taken on Karachi Kings in their first match at Multan Stadium.
