Murad announces to reduce to 50pc school attendance for upto grade 6 in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas Wednesday announced only 50 percent attendance in classes from one to sixth grade in Lahore district only while students will attend classes as per usual from sixth grade to 12th grade, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He tweeted: “In all Public & Private Schools, classes up to Grade 6 will be staggered (50% students each day) starting tomorrow January 20th through January 31st, 2022.”

He further said: “Classes 7 through 12 will remain on the previous schedule. Please follow COVID SOPs.”

NCOC Wednesday made a big decision and allowed staggered attendance in the primary section with three days on, 100 percent attendance in the higher section of schools. NCOC also made vaccination of students mandatory for those above 12.
