Muttaqi holds talks with regional envoys on bilateral ties

KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held high-level discussions with the special envoys from China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and India, focusing on enhancing bilateral political relations and fostering economic cooperation between Afghanistan and regional countries.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on his X account that Foreign Minister Mawlawi Muttaqi met with the special envoys on the sidelines of the Sixth Moscow Format Meeting.

During these comprehensive discussions, the emphasis was placed on strengthening political ties and expanding economic cooperation between Afghanistan and its regional partners.

Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi reassured the envoys about Afghanistan’s secure environment, highlighting its positive impact on regional stability. He further underlined the significance of advancing mutual economic interests through trade and investment opportunities between Afghanistan and the countries represented.

The special envoys affirmed their countries’ commitment to deepening engagement with Afghanistan, recognizing the stability of the current situation and expressing confidence in Afghanistan’s potential as a reliable partner in political and economic cooperation.
