LODHRAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) snatched the victory from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) before the general elections, in NA-154 by-polls Lodhran.
According to unofficial results from all 338 polling stations, Iqbal Shah of PML-N managed to bag 113,542 votes and Ali Tareen of PTI secured 85,933 votes in his first contest after the seat was vacant when his father Jehangir Tareen was disqualified by Supreme Court.
According to unofficial result, Iqbal Shah defeated PTI’s candidate by a margin of 27,609 votes.
Considered the home ground of Tareen, PTI had won the seat with a margin of around 40,000 votes in a previous by-election in 2015.
