ISLAMABAD (NNI): Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has vehemently condemned the deadly airstrikes and raids carried out by Israeli occupation forces on a Palestinian refugee camp in Jenin. He also deplored that the dispossession and displacement of Palestinians from their homes by the aggressive Israeli forces are unacceptable.
Speaker said that the recurring instances of unlawful raids and assault on the innocent Palestinian men, women and children raises serious concerns on the international laws prohibiting such hate-fueled incidents. The freedom of expression has also been tarnished by the Israeli forces and such blatant violations exposed the dark character of the Zionist reign of Israel, Speaker remarked.
He stressed that the United Nations and the International Community as a whole should not only strongly condemn this blatant violation of human rights and rights of refugees, but also take all necessary actions to ensure the complete protection and provision of human rights of Palestinians.
The National Assembly of Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with Palestinian brothers and sisters in these testing times and continue to extend unwavering support to them in their legitimate struggle to achieve the right to life, right to freedom, and most importantly right to self-determination, he added. Speaker Ashraf reiterated a call for viable, independent and contiguous Palestinian State, with pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with the relevant United Nations and OIC resolutions.
