NAB boss vows merit-based appointments

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal Sunday reiterated his firm resolves to make appointments in bureau on provincial quota allocations as per law.

He, in his first address to bureau’s officers after assuming charge as chairman last year, promised that the NAB would make appointments on merit and no province would be deprived of its provincial quota, a press release said.

In the light of the above commitment, NAB chairman has decided to advertise the posts of director, additional director and assistant director as per provincial quota of Balochistan lying vacant the bureau.

Whereas the vacant posts of other provinces including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab would also be filled on merit as per provincial quota.

The merit based appointments would not only help enhancing performance of NAB but also contribute in eliminating sense of deprivation in some provinces.
