ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Executive Board Meeting (EBM) Tuesday accorded approval of filing six corruption references against Abdul Ghani Majeed of Omni group, Ghulam Sarwar Sindhu and others for inflicting colossal losses to national kitty.
The EBM was chaired by Chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal approved filing corruption reference against Iftikhar Rahim Khan, Former Secretary Workers Welfare Fund and others owing to their alleged involvement in devouring public money thus causing Rs 466 million losses to national kitty, said a press release issued here.
Likewise, EBM approved filing corruption reference against Ghulam Sarwar Sindhu, Former Director Urban Planning, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and others.
They have been accused of allotting 4.5 acre land to Shuttle Bus Service at Diplomatic Enclosure, causing Rs 408.32 million losses to public exchequer.
The EBM accorded consent of filing corruption reference against Muhammad Hussain Syed, former Administrator KMC and others.
They have been accused of illegally allotting welfare plot, and inflicting heavy losses to national kitty.
The EBM approved filing corruption reference against Khawaja Abdul Ghani Majeed, Chief Executive Officer , Omni Group of Companies and others for their involvement in fake accounts case and allegedly regularizing 7 acre state land, which inflicted Rs1.422billion losses to national kitty.
The EBM accorded approval of filing corruption reference against Ejaz Ahmed Khan, Former Secretary Special Initiative, Department of Sindh and others.
They have been accused of awarding water supply contract to choice persons. Their illegal act inflicted Rs 29.25 million losses to national kitty.
Similarly,the EBM accorded approval of filing corruption reference against Ali Gohar Dahri and others for making illegal recruitments by abusing authority. This inflicted Rs 74.85 million losses to national kitty.
Meanwhile, Justice Javed Iqbal said NAB was strictly pursuing the policy of ‘Accountability for All’. NAB’s foremost policy was to take mega corruption cases to logical conclusion. NAB has first and last affiliation with Pakistan.
He directed director generals of NAB to take complaint verification, inquiries and investigations to logical conclusion by ensuring merit, transparency in light of concrete evidence as per law.
