NAB grills former provincial minister

PESHAWAR: Accountability Court has convicted former minister revenue Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murid Kazim involved in misuse of authority in illegal transfer of valuable 1976 kanals of state land.

The accused, Murid Kazim in his tenure as Minister Revenue KP, in connivance with other co-accused illegally transferred valuable 1976 kanals land to NFRO in 2010 when as per rules these powers were vested in Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and subsequently illegally transferred 182 kanals residential plots worth 253.46 million to officers of Revenue Department as kickbacks.

The accused persons Qayyum Nawaz District Officer (Revenue & Estate), Riaz Muhammad District Officer Revenue & Estate and Gul Hassan Assistant Board of Revenue Department Govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mulazim Hussain, Patwari and Ihsanullah are also convicted by the courts in the instant case. Accused Ihsanullah Mehsud has been declared proclaimed offender for not Facing Trial and issued perpetual warrant of arrests.
