F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday has submitted its reply in Islamabad High Court (IHC) and pleaded the court to reject the Nawaz Sharif’s bail petition.

According to details, a two member bench of the IHC including Justice Aamir Farooq and Mohsin Akhtar will hear the two bail petitions filed by former premier Nawaz Sharif today, seeking bail on the medical grounds.

NAB has submitted a 18-page response and pleaded the court to dispose-off Nawaz Sharif’s bail.

The NAB has requested the IHC to impose fine on Nawaz Sharif by disposing off his bail plea.

Earlier on February 9, the Islamabad High Court had issued a written order of the hearing of the bail plea filed by deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif on medical grounds.

The written order was signed by Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiani of the high court.

The court had allowed to make the report of the jail superintendent of Kot Lakhpat part of the record.

The order stated that a copy of Nawaz’s medical report had been provided to the deposed PM’s counsel and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

“A representative of Kot Lakhpat Jail said various medical boards were constituted on the recommendation of the Home Department, Government of Punjab,” the order read.
