NAB prays court to dismiss acquittal plea in reference against Sindh CM

ISLAMABAD (APP): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday requested the Accountability Court (AC) to dismiss the acquittal petition of a co-accused in Noriabad Power Project reference against Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

AC-III Judge Syed Asghar Ali heard the reference filed by NAB.

Syed Murad Ali Shah and others appeared before the court during the hearing.

The NAB submitted its comments against the acquittal plea of co-accused Niaz Ali Sheikh.

The court was told that the defence counsel couldn’t appear before it due to his engagements in the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, the NAB also submitted the asset details of another accused Muhammad Ali and adopted the stance that the accused owned no property in accordance of the report of concerned authorities. The court sought details of accused bank account and adjourned hearing till January 11.
