PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Regional Board of National Accountability Bureau KP with DG NAB in the chair authorized inquiry against employees of Tourism Corporation Deptt (KP) and others regarding corruption and corrupt practices.
The inquiry will be initiated to probe alleged illegal appointments in Tourism Corporation Deptt (KP) in gross violation of laws.
The meeting was attended by Directors, Deputy Prosecutor General (DPGA), Case Officers, and other concerned officers.
Several other important decisions were taken in the Regional Board Meeting.
The board also authorised inquiry against District Education Officer (Female) D.I.Khan & others regarding corruption and illegal appointments in gross violation of law.
The board also decided to initiate inquiry against administrative Officer, TMA Nowshera regarding illegal appointments in gross violation of laws.
It is further alleged that the accused got various contracts of tax collections in the names of his front men.
Besides these the board approved filling of supplementary reference against accused Umar Hayat, Senior Auditor, District Account Officer Shangla regarding accumulation of illegal assets beyond known sources of income.
DG NAB (KP) vowed that as per directions of Justice Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB, NAB KP is determined to do across the board accountability on the basis of solid evidence as per law.
He further said that eradication of corruption is not only our social and moral obligation but it also ensures prosperous future of our coming generations.
