NAB should be abolished: Ex-premier Abbasi
LAHORE: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is a black law which was only used to target the political rivals.
This he said on Monday while talking to media persons. Former premier said that NAB should be abolished. Regarding the Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest, Abbasi said that everyone knows that the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case has no strength and now a case has been formed against Shehbaz Sharif pertaining to Ramzan Sugar Mills.
PML-N leader added that Prime Minister Imran Khan levelled allegations against me and my cabinet members and adding that nothing will happen by leveling allegations and if PM Imran wants to find those who were involved in corruption then he should look around himself.
An accountability court in Lahore on Saturday extended the physical remand of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif until November 24 in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case.
During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor informed the court that Shehbaz was nominated and under arrest in the Ramzan Sugar Mills corruption case as well.
